The Fursuit Commission/Making Process
Here's where to find what you can expect when commissioning me
Any commission received follows the same steps, no matter how big or small:
Quote
Commissioning
Payment
Material and Information Gathering (DTD)
Work Start
Work in Progress - The communication phase
Completion
Delivery
Quote:
So you want a fursuit? Awesome! Thank you for considering me and my work to bring your sona to life!
The first few steps in this process, in my opinion, are arguably the most important, starting with the quote process. During this stage, it's up to you- the client- to provide me- the maker- all the information relating to your character and how they look as much as you can -markings, colours, hair styles, wings, horns, species, etc.
All sent over as, or with, a Reference sheet!(All markings must be visible, front and back views, minimum. If you do not have a reference sheet and are unable to make your own or commission one, I offer to provide one for you, but at a potential extra cost to you.)This allows me, as the maker, to do a few calculations on my end and provide you with an accurate “quote”, an estimated price, as to how much it's going to cost you to commission me before committing. You can not commission me without first receiving a quote, so it's important to keep that in mind and look out for when quote forms are active. All quotes given are valid for one year after receiving them.
I WILL NOT accept any AI images as a reference
(Any handmade art is appreciated more than AI-generated images.
Hell, even doodles on napkins!)
Commissioning:
Congrats! You have already received a quote and are ready to commission me. What now?
The next step is simply reaching out and/or filling the commission form when it's active and waiting to hear if you claimed a spot in my queue.
Depending on how many people reach out, I may not be able to accept every commission that round, but fear not, if you don’t make it this time, hold on to your quote as it is valid for one year at the original quoted cost. After about a week, I will reach out to the commissions that will be taken this round. Those who have been reached out to have 1 week (7 days) from the commission acceptance message being sent to accept and send the non-refundable 30% of the quoted cost to secure their slot, or another person will be reached out to in your place.
Payment:
Once your 30% non-refundable deposit has been sent, you have started paying off your new suit.
Whether you pay off your suit in full, or require a payment plan, as long as you pay off the rest before completion, you are good to go! You will not receive your suit until payments are finished, so it’s important to make sure that you are capable of funding said piece before applying for a commission.I accept Venmo, Paypall, Bank Transfers, and Cash app as forms of payment at the moment.
(as of May 2026)
Material and Information Gathering (DTD):
The next step is materials and information.
As soon as I receive the non-refundable deposit, I will begin the material ordering process. If you know you have a prefence on what fur colours are used, please let me know and I will do my best to use those. If not, I will do my best as a maker to match the swatches I own to the colours on your reference.
Now it’s up to you to make and send over the Duct Tape Dummy (or DTD). This makes a one-to-one mannequin of your body for me to work off of while making your suit.
I recommend following Spilt Grape Soda's tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHirpZB9ySg) as I have found it to provide me the most information while working on your suit.
As well as the DTD, You will need to measure and send your head size (around the largest point of your head, approximately where your eyebrows are)
I like to add head straps into my suit heads if requested, so they are able to get a bit smaller, but they may be unable to fit a larger head if the sizing is not correct
Work Start:
Once payments, materials, measurements, and the DTD have been received on my end, the construction process can begin. I give an average 12-month max estimate for work completion, no matter the project. This way, if it takes less time, it can be sent to you early, rather than being delayed if it takes longer.
(Most projects take much less time, but I would rather give an over-estimation than keep pushing the deadline back, frustrating my commissioners)If a project is estimated to take longer than the original 12-month estimate due to complexity, it will be communicated in advance to the first payments being sent.
Work in Progress- The communication phase:
While I work on your suit, you can expect work-in-progress photos to be sent, and you are allowed to ask about progress. If I have any questions regarding opinions on design options, marking placements, or anything that I am unsure about regarding your character, you will be contacted for your opinion.
And the same goes to you! If you have any questions about anything regarding your suit, please feel free to ask! I would much rather my commissioners ask more questions and be happy, than not ask any at all, and be disappointed with any creative choices I may make if no questions are asked/answered
Completion:
Congratulations! Your new fursuit has been made, you've been sent photos of the finished project, now all we have to worry about are the final steps on both ends to get your new and exciting costume to you.
Before or upon completion, it is expected that the full payment has been sent, and then your suit will be photographed, packed, and prepared to be shipped or delivered to you!
You will not receive your suit until it has been fully paid off.
Delivery:
Shipping cost will be calculated before sending the package off, and it is the responsibility of the commissioner to cover the shipping in full. If the commissioner is near me, and we communicate, hand delivery may be an option.
There may be special cases where tariffs would affect shipping price and time. In these cases, I am willing to discuss hand delivery if the price of the flight ticket is comparable or less than the cost of shipping (with the added benefit of cutting down shipping time exponentially)
Once you receive your package, congratulations! You now have a brand new fursuit made with care, especially for you. Take care of it, and it will be a loved accessory for many years to come.
Welcome to the family!

Terms Of Service
(T.O.S.)
GreenThatsBlue Creations Terms Of Service (TOS) as of May 2026“I” referring to: GreenThatsBlue/maker/the maker/creator/me/my/etc.
“You” referring to: The commissioner/you/your/customer/client/etc.By commissioning GreenThatsBlue Creations, you are agreeing to the TOS. All Clients must agree to all the terms of service to commission.
(TOS Subject to Change and Updates as seen fit.)
Payment
Within one week (7 days) of your commission being accepted, clients are required to pay a 30% non-refundable deposit for their slot. The deposit is based off of the quoted price of the character and allows the maker to obtain all the materials for your commission.Payment Plans are accepted, but you must pay the total cost of your commission before receiving your piece. You will not be sent your costume otherwise.
Payment options include cash, PayPal, or Bank Transfer (or Cash App/Venmo, depending on the situation.)I do not accept payments in the form of cryptocurrency, Zelle, and may refuse other services as deemed fit.
Payment Plans
I do offer payment plans when requested!
I require 30% of the original quoted price up front. This is non-refundable. After that, payment plans may vary.
I ask that no less than $500 USD be sent per month, unless discussed and agreed upon beforehand. If there is a month where you have to pay less for any reason, please notify me beforehand.
Your suit must be completely paid off before delivery, ideally paid off within 6 months to a year, and will not be given to you before payment completion.
Communication
You are allowed (and encouraged to) check in as much as you would like for questions/progress photos, within reason.
Messaging me more means more communication sent back to you! I will always do my best to answer any questions you may have, and provide a stress-free commissioning process for the both of us.
If you do not wish to message me often, I will just message you when I have a question about something, or if I am sending an occasional progress photo. If I send you a question, I ask that you respond as soon as possible, as I will often put your suit on hold until said question is answered. If you do not respond in 3-5 days, I may proceed with your suit, doing what I deem the best option to be. I will always notify you if this is the case, providing a final chance at changing what I plan to proceed with.
Telegram (TG) Channel
Please check out and join my Telegram channel for any updates, WIP photos, information, or other posts I may make. I can not guarantee that I message every individual person about general information, so this is the best way to make sure you stay on top of general information/watch my work progress.

Design Changes
Design changes may be made until the commission work starts. After that, I can not guarantee that the requested changes can be made.
I like to occasionally provide a character sheet to help me understand your character better. I will always ask for design approval if this is the case.
If I miss an element of your character's design that WAS depicted on the character sheet provided from the beginning, or that was made for you during the quote process, I will do my best to provide said design change no matter the stage in production.
Duct Tape Dummy (DTD)
The client is responsible for providing a good and strong DTD. Taking your time to ensure a good job on this step is critical, as your suit will only fit as well as your DTD is made, so take your time!!! A poor DTD may be requested to be remade.
I personally recommend following Spilt Grape Soda's DTD tutorial as they do a very good job explaining what to do.
I also recommend using a paint suit underneath, or a set of old/thrifted clothes -that cover your whole arms and legs- that you are also ok with cutting apart.
The client is responsible for shipping the DTD to GreenThatsBlue Creations.
If, by chance, you receive your suit and it does not fit properly due to a DTD issue that slipped by, I offer a free alteration service (restrictions apply) if I am notified within 14 days of suit
arrival.
I do not recommend anyone under 18 commission a body suit anywhere due to your body still potentially growing, thus risking you growing out of your suit.
AI
I do not consent to any of my work being used for AI use, development, NFT's, or the like.I pride myself in creating art made by a human being, for other human beings (or other living creatures; I don't judge!). My art is made 100% generative AI free. As such, I request that those who commission me respect my requirement for references not being made with generative AI. Even the worst quality art, or even colages/ Pinterest boards of other suits/art that you like, are appreciated over generative AI. If you can show/tell me what ideas you have, I can work with that!
Age
I will not accept commissions from anyone under the age of 18, even with parental consent. This is to protect both you and me from any issues that may arise with a minor commissioning such an expensive piece of art.If at any point I find that you are in fact a minor, and have lied to me about your age, you will be refused service until you are at least 18, or may be blacklisted depending on severity of circumstance.
If you are under 18, I HIGHLY recommend trying your hand at making a suit yourself! It's quite rewarding, and there are plenty of tutorials out there that helped me, and others, get started on the fursuit-making journey. I am more than happy to send you a few video resources that have really helped me with my own learning!
Working on bases/provided materials
I am more than willing to consider working on a base provided by another maker. Please reach out if you have the perfect base in mind, but keep in mind that I am less inclined to work on a solid 3d printed base, or a base with a moving jaw.
Providing materials may lower the material cost quoted to you.
I can refuse to work with any materials offered or provided at any point
Refunds
A customer is entitled to request a refund at any point if needed. I MUST be notified beforehand. Please make sure you are financially stable before commissioning.Material cost is non-refundable
Anything after that can be refunded based on how much of your suit has been completed at that point.
You are entitled to a full refund if the artist is the one to cancel the commission and no progress has been made.
Please reach out if you are experiencing a financial emergency, and I will do everything I can to refund as much as possible to you.
If a commission is canceled, depending on the circumstance, you may request the product be sent to you at whatever state it may be in at the point of cancellation, but you will receive a much smaller refund in turn than if I keep the suit to repurpose for a future piece.
Shipping
Shipping is determined at the end of the commission process once everything is completed. The client is responsible for the entire shipping cost unless discussed prior and arrangements have been made otherwise.
Having insurance on the package is a must.
Local pickup may be an option, but it must be discussed before completion and agreed upon by the maker.I, GreenThatsBlue Creations, am not responsible for any lost packages or damage caused by the postal service. I do my best to package everything snuggly and safely so that your suit has the best chance of arriving to you in pristine condition. If you receive your package and it has been severely damaged by the shipping process, please reach out, and I will offer free repairs on your suit with documentation if contacted within 24 hours of package delivery.
If your suit gets lost or stolen during the shipping process. Please document everything, reach out, and I will do my best to re-make your suit at a discounted price if the package is unable to be located. While I may not be able to control what happens to your package once it leaves my hands, I will do my best to help out where I can if things DO go awry before your commission reaches your hands.
Pausing Work
If a customer needs to put a suit's progress on pause for any reason, I must be notified as soon as possible. I will hold onto your suit without payment or any work progress, for up to 6 months if it is communicated and agreed upon. If this time progresses to a cumulative total of 1 year, I will no longer offer a refund on the prior work/money sent, and I am allowed to keep the work completed to repurpose as I see fit.
(I will occasionally be willing to hold on to the piece longer if offered and communicated prior)I understand that life circumstances can change suddenly, and I would much rather my clients be able to afford necessities over a costume. So please communicate with me if needed.
Warranty and Repairs
I offer free minor repairs on any wear and tear caused by normal use, up to 2 years after obtaining your suit. Shipping must be paid by the customer.
After one year, there may be a fee for repairs, cost decided on a case-by-case basis.
I can not guarantee a timeframe for suit repairs, as they will be worked on in between other commissions at the time. However, I will do my best to communicate an estimated time frame, based on the complexity of the repair, on a case-by-case basis, and complete repairs as soon as possible.
Repairs NOT covered by warranty may include, but are not limited to:-Damage caused by intentional damage to the suit
-Damage caused by improper storage
-Major damage caused by being too aggressive in suit
-Anything caused by partaking in NSFW activities in suit.
If your suit comes in contact with any sexual fluids, blood, urine, feces, etc. I will no longer offer repairs. If I find that I have been misled in any way, and the suit had been used for sexual activities, or that it came in contact with the aforementioned bodily fluids, and was sent to me with the intent to have it repaired without me knowing of its condition, you will be automatically blacklisted, and your suit will be sent back without repairs.
I ask that your costume be cleaned to remove sweat and grime before shipping it to me for repairs, but if you are unable, please reach out, and I may offer tips/tutorials on suit cleaning, or even a paid cleaning service, depending on the situation and severity of dirt and grime.
Murrsuits
While I have been asked and am currently willing to create suits with zippers in areas to aid in sexual activities, accepting such commissions is at the maker's discretion, and I may refuse to take such commissions for any reason.I am not willing to make suits with genitalia - not including suggestive parts like nipple dots, crotch fur, breast padding without nipples, etc., but including parts like sheaths, penises, vaginas, etc.If I do accept a commission of this variety, warranty and repairs are automatically void, and will not be offered for any reason after the first test fitting.
However!
I am more than willing to offer advice, or even potentially guide you through on completing your own repairs if needed, so please reach out if any such advice is needed/wanted.
Once a suit has been delivered to a client, GreenThatsBlue Creations is no longer responsible and does not have any say in what happens to said costume.
Pets/Allergies
I have a cat, and while I keep my materials usually separate and away from her, cross-contamination is inevitable and I can not guarantee that there will not be any cat fur on your piece, no matter how careful I may be. Please keep this in mind if you have an allergy. If you have a cat allergy, I highly recommend finding another maker for your suit, as I am not responsible for any allergic reactions that are caused by commissioning me.
Smoking
I do not smoke or vape.
Your suit should not smell like marijuana, weed, cigarettes, or the like. If upon arrival, your piece does smell like anything previously mentioned, I am not responsible, as I was not the cause. Please reach out to me if your suit arrives and does, for any reason, smell unpleasant, as I am more than willing to help you fix this by offering a free cleaning service, or, depending on severity, remaking certain parts free of charge if they arrive to me and I personally deem them to be disgusting and/or beyond repair.
I would hate for anyone to receive a suit from me and for it to smell unpleasant upon unpacking. Before packing and shipping I will spray the inside of your suit with a fursuit spray, made from isopropyl alcohol and water (and occasionally fragrance as is usual for fursuit sprays) to disinfect after test fittings. Please let me know if you have a preference for a scented vs. unscented spray, and I am more than willing to use an unscented spray if that is preferred.
Bartering
I have in the past, and will most likely again in the future, accept trades for full, or partial, suit payment. This, however, is rare! And I can and may refuse any offer I do not wish to accept.
Any backlash towards refusal of an offer may lead to the maker refusing to take your commission and/or the client being blacklisted from my services, as deemed fit by circumstance.
Please understand if I do not wish to trade.Any bartering/trading must be agreed upon before I start your suit(though certain trades may be an exception)Material cost not included in bartering/trading and will still be required.
Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to me, and as such you can be comfortable that any personal information sent (Address, legal name, etc) will be kept private between both the client (you) and the maker (me). This means that your information will never be shared publicly on any social media, or privately to any other individual on any platform, or via word of mouth. You are welcome to delete all said personal information from our Telegram chats after the commission has been sent if that makes you more comfortable. I will never write down your information anywhere outside of our private Telegram DMs or the shipping label for your box.
If it is found with proof that I, the maker, DID share your personal information (Address, legal name, etc) anywhere other than the private chats between you, the client and me, the maker, or used for anything other than shipping your costume to you, you are entitled to a full refund.(This does NOT include sharing general information such as the Country the suit is sent to, user handle of the commissioner on posts, or information already shown on your personal social media Bios, such as pronouns. Though I will always respect a request to keep such information private.)
Similarly, I require that if you wish to take photos or videos of your package (for social media, or for a fursuit unboxing) you block out any postal information that may be visible on said box with sharpie, duct tape, video editing, etc.
Failure to do so will result in me requesting/requiring you to take down your post/video at least until you are able to digitally obscure any shipping information (ex: re-uploading with a digital “sticker” over the shipping info, digitally editing footage in a video editing software to skip over or obscure any footage with the address in view, retaking footage, etc..)
Refusal to obscure the sender's shipping address, or providing said shipping information to the public in an attempt to “Dox” the maker, will result in a notification of blacklisting from future communication/commissions.
Social Media
By commissioning me, you automatically consent to me using your suit for any posts, advertisements, reference material, Instagram stories, etc. that I, GreenThatsBlue, see fit.
If you do not consent to this, please reach out and let me know.
Accountability
GreenThatsBlue/GreenThatsBlue Creations do not take responsibility for the actions of individuals who commission me, or those who acquire or wear the costume/fursuit. Your actions are your own, and any sort of behavior done in suit is not a direct reflection of the suit maker.
LIKEWISE! Any actions done by GreenThatsBlue/GreenThatsBlue Creations are not a direct reflection of those who have commissioned me in the past, present, or future.
This being said, if an individual acts in a way that soils the public image of the maker, the maker retains the right to refuse further service for said individual, and make their warranty null and void. Including refusing any future repairs on the commissioner's suit.Such actions may include, but are not limited to: Stalking, Harassment, Pedophilia, Zoophilia, Sexual harassment, etc.
You will be notified if such a case comes up, and my reasoning for ceasing communications.
It is the client's responsibility to keep up with the cleaning and maintenance of the suit once it arrives. This includes proper brushing, cleaning, and general care taken while wearing said costume.
While a fursuit is a fun thing, they are prone to accumulating dirt and grime easily, simply due to the nature of being worn and sweating inside during wear. Proper upkeep and maintenance will keep your suit looking crisp and nice for years to come.
Your suit may arrive with a maintenance guide. Please check this out for information on some tips and tricks to keep your new suit looking nice.
GreenThatsBlue is not accountable for damage caused by improper care of your costume.GreenThatsBlue is not accountable or responsible for any health issues that may result from fursuiting irresponsibly. Fursuiting is a hot activity due to its nature, and while the maker may do their best to create a suit with good ventilation, it is the clients sole responsibility to take care of themselves while in suit to avoid things like heatstroke.
I, the maker [GreenThatsBlue], reserve the right to refuse a commission for any reason I deem fit. Any individuals who do not respect this decision and move to pushing back, harassment, online slander, etc., will be Blacklisted from my services going forward.
